Dr. Larry Kuhn, PsyD

Dr. Larry Kuhn founded the Prepare to Change counseling center and its state-of-the-art assessment platform. He is currently responsible for executing assessment interventions for the California and Indiana offices, and he provides in-person and online counseling and coaching as well. Larry Kuhn, PsyD, works well with many different types of people and challenges. He is a licensed clinical psychologist in Indiana and California, organizational coach and consultant, and a presenter involved in leadership development, forensic psychology, education, and family therapy. Always a steady hand at the wheel, Larry is highly valued for his calm and pragmatic approach, honed over 25 years in consulting, industry, and non-profit.


So while “been there, done that!” could be his mantra, Larry’s humble style combines his rich background and experiences with a collaborative nature and creative approach. Larry’s repertoire includes aligning business solutions, providing management consulting and coaching, launching assessment solutions, and a variety of other initiatives to promote sustainable organizational culture change. He employs a dialectical developmental approach to facilitate, influence and support desirable growth, design, and performance outcomes within organizations.


Clients love his unique and creative approaches to visually communicate complex information. In fact, he created a state-of-the-art assessment platform offering 400+ assessments and skills tests which is currently being used by clients across the nation for employee selection, leader development, and personal growth or education testing. Larry also conducts leadership seminars on Coaching Competencies for Executives, Goal Setting, Assertiveness Training, and Interpersonal Skills for Managers, Collaborative Problem-Solving Techniques, Communication Skills, among others. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Family and Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. He is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in California and Indiana.



Dr. David Wang, ThM, PhD 

David Wang, ThM, PhD is the editor of the Journal of Psychology and Theology and is part of the faculty at the Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University.  There, he teaches courses on trauma therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, integration, multicultural issues in clinical psychology, structural equation modeling and objective personality assessment. His areas of research interest include trauma and traumatic stress, spiritual formation and character/virtue development, mindfulness/self-compassion, spiritual theology (with special interest in the English Puritans) and various topics related to multicultural psychology and social justice.


Dr. Wang is also a licensed psychologist who maintains a small clinical practice in Fullerton, CA and La Mirada, CA.  He is also a pastor of spiritual formation at One Life City Church (Fullerton) and serves on the board of directors for Joya Scholars (joyascholars.org), a non-profit organization that seeks to inspire and prepare students from families of at-risk communities in Fullerton to succeed through higher education.



April Twenhafel, LMFT

April Twenhafel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over fifteen years experience in the mental health field. Prior to her licensure, April worked in the field of Social Work including foster care, crisis management and outreach concerns.  April graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2007 and began her clinical practice at the Center for Individual and Family Therapy and has evolved her practice in this organization to date. She has been an adjunct professor in the Applied Behavioral Science program at Azusa Pacific University focusing on Marriage and Family Therapy for the past four years. April’s clients vary in demographics, however, she specializes in children, adolescents, and treatment of trauma related issues. April’s primary theoretical orientation is Attachment based integrated with Object Relations Theory.



Paula Campbell

Prepare 2 Change Counseling Center board member Paula Campbell brings with her experience as a corporate board member for many years at Potter’s Foursquare Church where she is currently a church council member. Paula has served in ministry for over 20 years as a Children’s Ministry teacher, Women’s Ministry leader, Elder and currently as assisting Pastor and Church Administrator at Potter’s Foursquare Church. She works part-time as Financial Administrator for a flooring contractor.



Bill Stephen

Bill’s carrier of successful entrepreneurship and Fortune 500 experience has been driven primarily by the ever-changing landscape of technology. Launching and managing properties worldwide, his ability to identify market and technology trends has resulted in cutting edge products, such as the first music download forum for Compuserve and a branded Mobile network.


As a seasoned sales and marketing executive, he has driven revenue for AOL, Ziff Davis, multiple Time Warner properties and a variety of other brands. Additionally, he co-developed Lat34, the first social action sports site for AOL and repositioned the streaming video company JumpTV from a subscriber model to an advertising based international site. At PC Magazine he developed a strong technology foundation and while at Time Warner (AOL, Fortune, Time Digital), he honed his strategic capabilities, co-writing the first tech research paper for the consumer market. He has launched a variety of music/technology publications and has extensive digital background, including AdOperations and audience development.


An international entrepreneur, with cross-platform experience, he strategically positioned and established sales and marketing foundations for both Accuweather and IBTimes. Bill’s expertise covers market analysis, research and direct sales in both business-to-business and consumer products sectors. Additionally, he has pioneered training programs, implemented and managed sales and marketing re-organizations, co-authored research and recruited and managed sales and marketing teams globally. With a B.A. in Journalism from San Francisco State University, Bill served as an editor and writer, working for five years in London, UK, launching publications in Germany, Italy and the US, including Apple Business, the first high quality publication produced via desktop publishing. He relocated to New York and became editor of the groundbreaking music magazines Output and MCS.


Currently, he serves as CEO/President of GraniteMediallc, a consulting firm that guides small to mid-sized companies on operations, contracts, infrastructure and sales and marketing.
